During the installation process, a DTN Exchange Support Specialist will work with you to set up your terminals, customers/buyers, and other required information.  As your business grows and changes, you can use Setup/Administer screens to adjust your DTN Exchange system.

We recommend you use the following screens in the suggested order to set up your Seller system:

  1. Product Class Setup — Select the product classes that you will offer through the DTN Exchange.

  2. Terminal Groups — Group terminals to make it easier to set up pricing rules.

  3. Products at Terminals — Assign the products that will be offered at each terminal.

  4. Group Pricing — Set pricing rules for each terminal group and product class offered at a terminal in the group.

  5. Inventory — Set available gallons for each product at each terminal, minimum order quantities, and open/close dates. You can also activate an offer from this screen.

  6. Buyer Setup — Authorize buyers to be your partners, and assign terminals, products, and offer types to them.

You can also set up the following if you want:

  1. Terms Setup  —  Use to view DTN Exchange terms and, if desired, to add your lifting terms.

  2. Order Increments — Use to specify incremental amounts for market orders and bids of a product class at a terminal group.

  3. Class of Trade — Use to distinguish buyers according to a class of trade on forward offers.
